Policy

1. Membership Terms

  • By enrolling in any classes or private lessons at Victoria Ballet or Victoria Art Studio (collectively referred to as “the Studio”), you become a member of that specific Studio for the current school year.

  • A one-time, non-refundable registration fee will be charged at the beginning of each school year upon the purchase of classes or private lessons. The fee may vary annually.

  • New Student vs. Returning Student:

    • Returning Student: You are considered a returning student if you were enrolled in the annual regular classes of the previous school year at the same Studio. The re-registration fee for returning students may vary annually.

    • New Student: If you were not enrolled in the annual regular classes of the previous school year (e.g., you only participated in summer camp), you are classified as a new student.

  • Important Note: Victoria Ballet and Victoria Art Studio operate independently. Therefore, if you were enrolled in one Studio last year, it does not make you a returning student at the other Studio. Returning and new student status is determined separately for each Studio.

2. Tuition and Payment Policies

  • Payment Requirements: Tuition fees must be paid in full before the start of the corresponding classes or private lessons. If you enroll after the start date of the class term, you may be eligible for prorated tuition or credit for future classes, subject to availability. Please contact the Studio for details.

  • Additional Costs: While tuition fees and registration fees are posted on the Studio’s website, additional costs such as competition fees, exhibition fees, and costs for art supplies (for Rembrandt and Intensive classes, etc) are not predetermined. These costs will be communicated individually as soon as the information is confirmed.

  • Late Payments: Payments not received within three days (3 days) of the due date will incur a $50 late fee, which may be automatically charged if applicable. Extended delays in payment may result in further collection procedures and/or legal action.

  • Non-Sufficient Funds: A $30 fee will be charged for any returned checks due to insufficient funds.

3. Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • General Non-Refundability: All classes and private lessons are non-refundable.

  • Medical Conditions or Studio Closure: This contract may be canceled if a medical professional provides a note stating that the student is unable to participate in ballet for a specific period. In such cases, the contract can be terminated immediately. Additionally, this contract may also be canceled in the event of the passing of the student or if the Studio ceases operation at the location where you entered into this contract.

  • Advance Notice for Discontinuation: We kindly ask for one month’s advance notice if a student enrolled in the installment plan wishes to discontinue. This notice should be provided at least one month before the next scheduled payment date. For example, if the next payment is due on 9/25, the written notice must be submitted by 8/25. If you need to take a break for more than one month and return, the re-registration fee for returning students will apply.

4. Studio Policies and Rights

  • Operational Changes: The Studio reserves the right to alter its days and/or hours of operation, curriculum, and the number of classes you are entitled to attend if deemed necessary.

  • Attendance and Missed Classes: The student and any co-signer agree to pay the full tuition, regardless of attendance or missed classes, until the tuition is paid in full. There are no make-up classes for absences due to personal reasons, and excessive absences that disrupt class flow are discouraged.

  • Make-Up Classes: If classes are canceled due to reasons attributable to the Studio, make-up classes will be provided. Please consult with teachers to schedule these sessions. There are no make-up classes for National Holidays. Absent notice on the same day or just no-show will not be followed up by a make-up class.

5. Liability and Photo Release

  • Liability Release: By participating in the Studio’s programs, I acknowledge the physical demands and confirm the participant’s fitness and health. I am aware of inherent risks and release the Studio and its representatives from any liability, except for intentional acts. This waiver includes all related claims by myself, my family members, heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

  • Photo Release: I, as a participant or the parent/legal guardian of a participant, grant the Studio the right to use photographs that may include identifiable images of myself or my dependent. These photographs, taken during classes, may be used for promotional purposes on the Studio’s website, class descriptions, social media platforms, and printed materials. These images will not imply personal endorsements or political views. All photos taken during classes become the property of the Studio. You may opt out of this agreement; however, please understand that while the Studio will make best efforts to exclude photos of you or your dependent, mistakes may occur.

6. Agreement of Policy

  • Purchasing classes or private lessons constitutes your agreement to the policies outlined above.
